[ Alex listens to Julian, does the mental math of a man whose family includes a dimension-jumping grandmother, monster-hunting ancestors, and more than one actual ghost. Factor in the comic book nerd cousin he's been living with (and on her bad days, reading to) and he can connect a few likely dots.

He also has to suppress a cringe of sympathy when he recognizes his own brand of making up for the lack of an ability to lie by telling a very select version of the truth. ]


Alex Price. And you don't have to dance around it, if we're not from different realities, it's times. Or timelines. Or- I don't know, I'm a herpetologist, not a physicist. [ His annoyance, at least, is clearly directed at their situation, not at Julian. ] Given that we seem to be trapped in a demented retail bottle dimension outside of time and space, I don't think dates are going to do anyone any good here. [ His simmering annoyance at his prediciment peaks here, and he pauses to keep his voice level. He continues, calmer, ] but it was 2018 for me about six hours ago.
